SNOW!!!

3-4 inches have fallen overnight after a record setting 55+ degrees all over the area yesterday. Shock to the visuals. It was almost totally gone yesterday by evening. It's back with a affirmation that it IS still WINTER!

Layout progress was made yesterday, more to do if I'm allowed today. I'm sure not going out unless necessary. I may have to clear the driveway, but not right away.

Darn glad I'm not back on patrol, I'm sure the traffic was horrendous this morning during commute time. Sudden weather changes are a bear, folks have a tendency not to go to night shift dressed right, either, for the change. One of worst nights of my career was similar, upper 40s to start the shift and then today drop with rain/slush/snow and wind. Never been so cold.

Oh well, the furnace is running well and the fat cats are fed. Time to get a bite. Everyone have a good day.

Good morning from cloudy, mild and rainy Northeast Ohio!
Temps in the 50's this morning but freezing rain expected by
2:00 this afternoon, followed by snow this evening and night.
Closing the office at 1:30 so we can get home before it hits.

Karl, I checked and I only have the Champ Decal for EMD F Units!

Dull coated and assembled a couple boxcar kits, will post the
pictures later today.

May go to bowling, may decide to cancel the league due to the
inclement weather conditions.

See you all later!

Morning from a cooling Emerald Coast of Florida. After a nice warm up, we are headed back into the 20s again tonight. At least we managed to have a few days back into the 60s. I was given a gift from someone at work that decided to come in sick and ended up in the emergency room Wednesday evening. After trying all day to break a fever of 101.5, my wife hauled me in. It only took them 3 hours to get it down but they juiced me up pretty well and sent me home to be quarantined for 72 hours. My gift was the worst strain of the flu viruses being spread around. They notified the Public Health Officer on the base I work on and they visited my shop yesterday to find the source. Haven't heard who was so generous, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that got it. So I think I'm on the backside of it now, but still have another day to go before I can be around anyone else. Just hope nobody else has to deal with this crud because of me.

Hope everyone has a fine Railroad Forum Day, stays healthy and safe!

You guys stay safe, warm and well! Nothing like that going on out here. Doing some organization in the shop, preparing to load it up with stuff from the house for the upcoming remodel. Lot of things I would rather be doing...
