G'day y'all.... Bright hazy sun and cool, ~60 this am. We've tried the open window thing and seem to have allergy stuff so bad we're back to cooped up worse than the Doll's chickens.

Breakfast today with be eggs, purloined, fried and scrambles, Wright side bacon, grits and sausage. OJ, Milk, silver can diet and coffee, tea and a little of Sir Nelson's jug.

Today the fellow from DC is coming to get the gas pump, hooray.

I see the oil slick is still being addressed. Jim it's funny you should mention the Asian Carp. I read yesterday that "the" Mayor, Dailey II, there in Chicago is threatening to sue Michigan for the oil if it gets to Lake Michigan in a form of political retribution from our state filing suit on the carp. I did see a big 130 lb cat fish that was caught down river somewhere in Illinois using some asian carp as bait. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/outposts/2...nd-catfish.html

I spent some bench time yesterday working on 4 cab plug panels for my NCE. That will make 6 engineer positions with 2 plugs each around the layout. At least I managed to get something positive done. Wiring them up will come in the future.

Interesting news on the NYC front, Paul. I grew up on the NYC, the Det-Chi main was just yards away from my very first residence as an infant. My grade school overlooked the line as well. Lots of interesting modeling possibilities there.

Well my time allotment is up. I hope all have a good day.

BE SAFE!!

Good Evening all.

Another fine day til early evening and then a few drops of rain, but thats all.
Nothing much happening around these parts, family are staying til after the weekend!
Baseboard construction is just starting now, gave my friend the measurements!!

On the club front, the fire has been confirmed as arson.

but there's a long way to go yet!

Good afternoon from sunny and warm Northeast Ohio.

Worked on attaching the grabs for the Walther's R50b Reefer, had one go flying off icon_smile_censored.gif so I will try to bend my own as a replacement. Started work on an old E&B Valley All Door Boxcar, removed the cast on grabs and replaced with wire ones along with replacing the sill steps. Have a bunch of decals for this type car, don't know which one I will use.

Larry, Atlas must be embarrassed to have run out of track, that will teach them to send all their manufacturing overseas. I remember when we did not order enough flex track at the hobby shop and ran out, it was very embarrassing for us. It is something you don't want to run out of.

Karl and Paul, I could see the NYC Airline yard from the upstairs windows of our house, but I was too young to appreciate it at the time.

Everyone have a good day! icon_smile_OK.gif
